Gulf of Carpentaria

Traditionally, Gangalidda country stretches from the Leichhardt River, west to Massacre Inlet. The extent of this core area has never been disputed with our neighbours. We have strong ties to our country, our cultural heritage and our traditional estates. Through anthropological studies conducted as part of our native title claims we have been able to demonstrate our connection to country and purposely map the area of our traditional family estates.
